WebsiteSheridan North Cove Group Campground sits in a forest of Ponderosa pine along the north shore of Sheridan Lake, designed specifically for large groups and gatherings. Five group sites accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs, with several offering direct lake views. The north shore is home to the largest swim beach on Black Hills National Forest, along with a marina offering boat slip rentals, groceries, and fishing supplies, plus a large boat launch and picnic area. Fishing piers are located throughout the lake. Each site includes vault toilets, picnic tables, and campfire rings. Paved driveways accommodate most RV sizes. No electrical hookups are available. Groups range from 25 to 100 people per site. Sites book up to 180 days in advance. Peak season rates apply mid-May through late September. Situated 15 miles west of Rapid City on Sheridan Lake Road. Ideal base camp for family reunions, church groups, and scout troops exploring the Black Hills.
