Salem Park

Salem Park is one of Spearfish's most thoughtfully designed neighborhood parks. Located along Quincy Street, the park features a fully inclusive play area with poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing, complete ramping, and an adaptive swing seat, making it one of the most accessible playgrounds in the Black Hills. The full-sized playground is ideal for children ages 5 to 12 and includes a swing set and merry-go-round, with picnic areas for adults to relax nearby. A paved bike path runs through the park, connecting it to Spearfish's broader network of parks, perfect for family rides on warmer days. Clean restrooms and horseshoe pits round out the amenities. What sets Salem Park apart is its setting. The peaceful park sits alongside Spearfish Creek, with a picturesque swimming area just to the north, one of the best natural wading and swimming spots in the city, fed by some of the clearest cold water in the Black Hills.
