BMX track, bike playground, dog park, ball fields, and playgrounds — southeast Rapid City's go-to.

About

Robbinsdale Park is one of Rapid City's oldest parks, located in the southeast corner of the city between Oakland Street and East Fairmont Boulevard. A major overhaul completed in 2018 transformed it into one of the most well-rounded recreational destinations in the region, with something for virtually every age and interest. The park features sporting fields, two playgrounds, a BMX track, a bicycle playground with a pump track, and a sizable off-leash dog area, all connected by pleasant concrete walking paths. A lollipop-shaped walking and running loop starting from Oakland Street covers about 2 miles. Picnic shelters with grills are available throughout the park, and a reservable upper shelter offers dramatic views of the surrounding area. The Harney Little League baseball complex anchors the south end of the park, while the north end stays quieter — rolling, tree-lined hills ideal for picnics and private gatherings. Open fields are wide enough for kite-flying on windy days. The park is free and open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
