Herrmann Park
About
Herrmann Park is the heart of Belle Fourche, a lush, welcoming green space situated near the city's central business district in the northern Black Hills of South Dakota. The park's centerpiece is its historic bandshell, which hosts the popular Belle Fourche Arts Council Summer Concert Series — offering free outdoor performances throughout the summer season that draw locals and visitors alike.
Shaded picnic areas, barbecue facilities, and open green space make it an ideal spot for family gatherings, relaxed afternoons, and community events. The park also serves as the venue for Belle Fourche's beloved annual Car Rally every June, drawing nearly 200 antique vehicles and hot rods from across a dozen states, along with live music and family activities. Just a short drive from Deadwood, Devils Tower, and the northern Black Hills, Herrmann Park makes an easy and enjoyable stop for travelers exploring the region. With the Belle Fourche River Walk trailhead nearby, visitors can extend their time outdoors with a scenic stroll along the river.
