Evans Park is the northernmost park on Spearfish's recreation path system, making it a natural launching point for exploring the city's connected parks along Spearfish Creek. The park offers plenty of open space for games and relaxing, with Spearfish Creek and several dirt trails running along the back. Spearfish Creek holds one of the finest populations of wild rainbow trout in the Black Hills. Amenities include a playground, creek access, a picnic shelter with capacity for 46 and a charcoal grill, picnic tables, a restroom, and ADA accessibility. Whether you're starting a longer walk or ride down the rec path, letting the kids loose on the playground, or finding a quiet spot on the creek bank, Evans Park is an easy, welcoming stop.
