Centennial Park
About
Right in the heart of downtown Hot Springs, Centennial Park is the social center of the city. Situated between many historic downtown shops and the Freedom Trail, Centennial Park is within a short walk of the Hot Springs waterfall, Kidney Springs, dining, shopping, and the Depot Visitor Center. It's the kind of park that pulls visitors in naturally as they explore the town.
The park features a fountain, two shelters, picnic tables, and seasonal restrooms, and is easily accessible by both footbridge and traffic bridge just across the river from the historic shopping district.
The Freedom Trail runs right alongside it, with the warm, mineral-fed Fall River. Summer evenings bring live music with bands performing at the bandstand, and the park hosts the Main Street Arts & Crafts Festival, a three-day event on the last full weekend in June that draws visitors from across the region.
It's a simple, lovely place to slow down, have a picnic, and soak in what makes Hot Springs special.
