Belle Fourche Skate Park

An outdoor skateboarding facility for skateboarders of all skill levels.

About

More than just a place to skate, Mike's Skatepark carries a story worth knowing. The park is dedicated to Mike Peterson, a Belle Fourche native with a love for skateboarding and snowboarding who rode for Burton Snowboards before passing away tragically in 2007. His family and best friend approached the city to create something in his memory — and the result is a free, fully expanded skate park. Located next to the Rec Center in Highland Park Belle Fourche Beacon, the park is open to skaters, BMX riders, and scooters of all skill levels. It's easy to find and free to use year-round. It's the kind of community project that reflects what Belle Fourche does well — building something lasting out of love for one of their own.
